Today- I AM STRESSED.
1) I have a headache
2) People expect me to magically create something without any background knowledge
3) I need to link a thousand thought lines of people telling me what they want together
4) It's too hot
5) I'm frantically going through files and files of folders learning what other people before has done which is giving me this headache

My Reality..
"Have you met Chris' girlfriend yet?" Audrey asked with a chuckle.
"No, I haven't seen her come in yet" I replied knowing deep down this was an ongoing joke somehow.
"Follow me" said Audrey walking out of the office and picking up the hole puncher.
"This is her" She said with a smirk still holding the hole puncher.
Absolute nuts I'm working with.
"Why do you guys call the hole puncher his girlfriend?" I replied, knowing perfectly well that I'm going to get a crazy answer.
"Well" Audrey replied slowly "She doesn't have a credit card. She does what she's told. She's readily available and she's not high maintenance."
Touche...Touche...

Dear World..
Dear World;
I am trying to multitask and funnel about 4-5 peoples thoughts and comments into a coherent plan of action.
Is it working today?
No not really.
Lucky I haven't got a real deadline on things.

Chris: "I don't have anyone working for me you know?"
Me: "Oh really, how do you get your company to work then?"
Chris: "I build relationships with people"
This got me really thinking.
People who often want to start businesses have a one track path:
Me: "Oh really, how do you get your company to work then?"
Chris: "I build relationships with people"
This got me really thinking.
People who often want to start businesses have a one track path:
- Create an offer
- Advertise and market
- Identify a client
- Deal with a client
- Close the offer with the client
And it often ends when the transaction occurs and payments and services have been met.
Why is that when the transaction ends so does the service. Chris made a very valid point that he builds relationships with people.
This ensures continual contact with your client and possibilty more work or service being provided for them in the near future.
Smart entrepreneur.
My reality..
Everyone here loves giving nicknames to people don't they?
"You'll meet Bob the Builder today" Audrey mentions as I'm sitting opposite her in the office.
"Who's Bob the Builder?" I responded curiously.
"Bob the Builder is what we call Craig" she replied casually "It's because he fixes things around here"
As she mentions this Craig walks by to go into his office. Audrey calls out to him to come and meet me. We shake hands and with a twinkle in his eye he asks "So what have they got you doing?"
I laughed.
People must just show up here and never leave. Shows a lot about a workplace.

Me: "Audrey, really I'm freaking out about my debts, do you really think I'll get rid of this sooner then later?"
Audrey " If you put your mind to it, you can do it"
So simple to say yet the following emotions (and questions) that went through me within 5 minutes of hearing her response included:
1) Confusion/Fear- "How can she just say that so easily!!?"
2) Comprehension- "Ok, I get it, I just need to be more focused and use this as a goal instead of looking at it as a problem"
3) Determination- "I now have my issue, i've identified my goal lets get this process started!!"
Where to begin..

Headspace chatter..
Sometimes I get tired and want a break or just need to stretch while i'm sitting here in front of the computer.
I think- geez, I can't just walk out; but then I realise I actually can.
I feel sorry for all those people stuck in their "9-5" "Work for the Boss" "Job".
If only they knew how it feels like to be on the other side..
